USS Raider - NCC 42558
Escort (20/09/2001 to 06/11/2001)
The Raider was ordered to escort the freighter 'Rio' from Starbase 24 to Starbase 93, after the ship arrived at it's destination with no cargo twice. The freighter crew offered no explanation. After a few hours of travel with the Rio, the Raider has come across an uncharted wormhole with anomalous properties, which the Rio dropped out of warp next to.
Lt. Phobos theorized that the wormhole led to the same place, but in the future. The Rio disappeared through it along with the Raider's marines, and the wormhole has collapsed, leaving a small device in it's place, which was beamed aboard the Raider and investigated. Chief Engineer Yearling, with the help of Chief Science Officer Phobos, got the device working again, and the Raider has entered the wormhole, which closed behind it.
Meanwhile, the Raider's new Executive Officer and Marine Executive Officer arrived in a runabout from Starbase 93 at the point where the Raider disappeared, and are investigating the area.
The Raider was briefly held by a Klingon ship with a tractor beam, told that it would be free to go if it provided information to the Klingon captain. Captain Clay refused, and the Raider escaped the Klingons with an EPS overload, and was briefly pursued by them, until the Raider's Marine Commanding Officer challenged the Klingon captain to a duel. This was accepted, in exchange for the Raider receiving the rest of the Marine team. The Raider now waits for the outcome of the duel, while the Klingon ship waits close by.
In our time, the USS Raider's Executive Officer has managed to send the wormhole's activation device through to the Raider, finally giving it a chance of escape.
Lt. Rowland was then beamed onto the Raider after beating the Klingon captain, and the Raider raced to the artificial wormhole generator, being chased by the Klingon ship. Just before the Raider entered the wormhole and returned to normal time, it detected a massive amount of ships converging on the device.
